In the last year, we've seen NDAs, difficult and delayed public-records requests, limited public information, city communication with developers for over a year before public announcements, negotiation extensions completed outside the public domain, information from industry sources with financial interests in the outcome, and a process that left neighbors with little ability to independently evaluate a massive data center proposal. If citizens have a guaranteed vote, then transparency and meaningful communication isn't optional. It's a required part of moving massive projects forward responsibly.
